Weekly Camp Themes

Canada! (July 3-6) - Come celebrate Canada’s Birthday with us! We’ll make flags, get our faces painted, and participate in our very own version of the Canada Games including relays and lots of water fun. A good ol’ picnic is in order as well. Happy Birthday, Canada!

Get Creative! (July 9-13)Are you a budding artist?  This week the children will be exploring different forms of art, including visual arts, drama, and cooking.  Our creative endeavours will take us out in to the community, including a trip to the grocery store to get our ingredients.

Picture This! (July 16-20) - Do you love to take pictures? Come join us as we explore photography. The children will get the chance to experiment with different types of photography including portraits, nature and macro photography. We will venture into the community to practice our new skills and end the week with our very own photography exhibit.

Build It! (July 23-27) - Do you like building things and figuring out how things work? Join us as we learn about engineering through building catapults, egg protectors and bridges. The children will also be building with wood, sanding, nailing, and painting their own creations to bring home. We will finish the week with an engineering expo where the children pit their creations against each other to discover who is the ultimate junior engineer. We will be exploring engineering in the real world during our trip to the splash pad.

Mad Science! (July 30-Aug 3) - Are you looking for a fun and interactive experience? Come discover cool chemical reactions, and build a rocket and participate in its launch. All sorts of things await as we put on our lab coats and discover the world of science! We will cap off the week with a trip to the discovery centre!

Solve that Case! (August 7-10) - Calling all amateur detectives! Join us in our mission to help solve the case of the disappearing stuffies. This week the children will work as detectives and crime scene investigators to catch the criminal. They will gather and examine the evidence, interview witnesses, create Lego crime scene models and work together to get our beloved stuffies back!

Get Involved! (Aug 13-17) – Do you like exploring the community and helping others? This week we will combine doing service projects with outings and guests that help us explore the helpers in our community.  We will also be taking a trip to the library to explore our larger community.

Eco Kids (August 20-24) - Come join us on our mission to help our environment. We will be exploring nature, all the things that live in it, and how we can help them, and take a hike. We will help keep things out of the landfill through creative projects using repurposed materials. Come discover how someone else’s trash can transform into your very own treasure!

Celebrate Summer (August 27-31) - The end of summer is near but the fun isn’t quite over yet! Join us for the last week of summer as we say goodbye to new friends and hello to a new school year! With activities such as tie dye, popsicles, and a trip to the splash pad. It’s sure to be a fantastic celebration!
